Lowered Draft Ratings?

I've been playing around with the beta so far and I've loved it. I have absolutely no complaints; as someone who loves building through the draft and through finding prospect gems, the new drafting and scouting is awesome. However, through my first two saves I've noticed that prospect ratings in the draft have been significantly lower. Through about total drafts, I've only had about a total of 2 players with a overall potential of 3.5 stars of higher. Most top picks have been 3 star players or lower. I've also noticed quite a few top 50 or so prospects on my Prospect Pipeline being rated 2.5 stars. Have draft prospect and minor league ratings been lowered a lot or have I just been unlucky drafting in my first couple saves? Just curious, otherwise great work on this year's game guys! Really polished and I've enjoyed it so far.

Agreed, seems like the stars are too low. I went in under Commissioner mode to check the raw stats of some prospects. Someone like Austin Martin or Spencer Torkelson (both of whom could go 1-2 in the MLB draft) were only given 2.5 stars by my scout (who is highly-rated himself). High first round draft picks should probably have 5 star potential.

The pure ratings (scouting off) for the top 5 guys in the draft, would give them 4.5 to 5 stars (65-70 on the 20-80 scale)

Martin is maybe a touch underrated at 60 on the 20-80 scale and 3.5 stars. So we'll probably boost him a little bit.

Made some other tweaks to guys at the top of the draft each of the next couple years to get them a little better without(hopefully) going too crazy.

This will probably not be in tomorrow's full release though, but likely in the first patch, whenever that comes.

It is intentional for the ratings to be a bit lower than in the past though. We want the draft guys to match up better with the guys already in MLB systems and on the top prospect lists.
