New England League Design
So I'm starting up a new game, set in a semi-dystopian future where the USA has fractured. The six New England states (along with other regions) have become their own sovereign country. My game focuses on a custom 24-team league in the newly-minted nation of New England. Naturally, that means my favorite pastime of creating a whole bunch of logos and jerseys, and I thought I'd share.
I'll eventually be doing the minor leagues and collegiate leagues for my game as well, but that's down the road. For now I'll be uploading my designs for the 24 major league level teams. Note that these aren't "traditional" style jerseys. My MLB game has long used my modern, paneled jersey set, and that's what this league will continue to use. Leagues/sets: NEBA - Complete NRL - Complete CCBL - Complete IL - In progress MWL - Upcoming GBL - Upcoming CML - Upcoming List of teams/affiliations, as I have them set up: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing Last edited by Fyrestorm3; 04-19-2020 at 10:50 PM. |

Amherst Raptors
Amherst, being first alphabetically, is first up. The main logo I modified from the Glendale Raptors rugby team; the bird in the secondary logo is from the Stockton University Ospreys, layered over an A instead of an S. I'm rolling with the black hat in my game, but it was hard to decide, so I included both of my designs.

Boston Rebels
Highlighting the city's involvement in not one, but two revolutions now, the inevitable Boston team chose the Rebels as its moniker. Perhaps appropriately, they don't even actually play in Boston, but rather in Cambridge. The main logo is cribbed from the Washington Rebels, a youth league team. The broken-bat B is custom, and Rebels wordmark comes from another youth team that I found no information on besides the image.

Burlington Bears
Named for the famous Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, which sits on the outskirts of Burlington. All the logos are taken directly from the Bakken Bears, a Danish basketball club. They were too awesome to not use.

Bar Harbor Beacons
Missed one. Ba- comes before Bo- alphabetically, did you know that? The main logo was from the Nickname Project, I believe, and I haven't been able to track down its origins. The BH is a full custom, utilizing the lighthouse from the main logo.

Cape Cod Sharks
A Sharks team that's black and teal? How original! But honestly no other color scheme worked better. The Sharks are based out of Yarmouth, though the Cape Cod League will still exist in-game as a college feeder league. The main logo is (get this) for the Wyckoff Family YMCA Sharks Swim Team. The fin in the secondary logo is a modified version of the Martha's Vineyard Sharks, a collegiate team.

Green Mountain Sentinels
Based out of the small town of Bennington, Vermont, the Sentinels were so named for the mountain range that stands guard over the state. The logos are all full custom, besides the text being a pre-made font.

Hartford Whalers
As the capital of Connecticut, it was obvious that Hartford was getting a team. I thought long and hard as to what nickname they should get... ah, who am I kidding, I jumped at the chance to have the Whalers in my game. Screw originality!

Keene Coyotes
The coyote itself was taken from a AAA hockey team. The script was found via a Google search, and the pawprint is the South Dakota Coyotes', with the K added on top.

Kingstown Cannons
Okay, yeah, Quonset Point is a naval and air base, so "Cannons" is a bit of a misnomer, but it still evokes the right feel and it sounds good. The cannon I used is actually the one from the Arsenal crest, layered over a custom K. I've again included two caps; I like the red one, but both work.

Laconia Hawks
I'm in love with this set. I just think the three colors work so well together. The main logo is from a design contest for a youth baseball club. And I know the alt logo is simply the old OKC Redbirds' logo, but I've always liked that one, so I wanted to bring it back. The scripts and letters are custom.

Maine Mammoths
The name and color scheme was chosen to invoke a wintry feel, suitable for a team playing in Augusta. The main logo was modified from the Omaha Mammoths of the short-lived FXFL; the tusked M is taken directly from the Colorado Mammoth of the NLL; the M on the caps is Miami of Ohio's logo. Yeah, I didn't get very original here, but the whole look comes together well, I think.

Manchester Storm
Halfway there... I pretty much ripped off the Storm's main logo and color scheme from the Guelph Storm. I tried some other designs, but nothing came out like I wanted. The alt logo, which I really like, is from the Nickname Project; not sure of its origins.

I always play a New England league in every version of OOTP, so naturally I'm a huge fan of this! Great work!

New Haven Admirals
Considering the coastal nature of much of New England, there's always going to be plenty of maritime imagery. The logos for the Admirals are full custom, using a clipart anchor.

North Woods Vipers
The "Great North Woods" is a loosely-defined region of northern New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and New York, spreading into Canada. In my game, the term has coalesced to define the areas north of the White Mountains in New Hampshire. It's represented by the Vipers, who play in Berlin. The whole design is a remake of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA D-League; I swapped out the basketball for a baseball, and replaced the RG with an NW.

I really like the whole feel you got going Fyrestorm.
