AI as GM
I would like to experiment with my asst GM making transactions. But I would like the right of refusal. Is this possible.

If you are commissioner, you can go in and undo it. That is the only way I know of.
I play historical and I have let my AI make trades until it traded away my future HOF youngster for someone in their final year. Maybe it was thinking I needed an average old player during the pennant stretch drive. |

I would love this. I play Manager only because I don't want to deal with much of the GM stuff, but I would love to override my GM sometimes.

And don't go for that "it's cheating" line of thinking that gets bandied about. It's your game, play it the way you want to make it fun It's totally legit to want the challenge of dealing with things that are out of your control. But, it's also totally legit to say, it's my game and I really want Mike Trout (or whoever) on my team. Last edited by CBeisbol; 10-29-2019 at 09:48 AM. |

I do such things often. But how could I over ride a trade? Here is my issue is I make trades on a whim, and keep trading/ for same player. In the last season and a half I traded Max Muncy 6 thimes. Hopefully my ast GM. will stop that. |

I've played around with doing that before, but I found that if the Asst GM really wants to trade someone, they'll keep pushing out the same guy in different trades consistently..

This would be a great addition. For many (maybe all) of the things you're allowed to either delegate to the assistant GM or keep to oneself, a third option, "right of refusal," could be added.
So you see what the assistant GM thinks the team should do and often it makes perfect sense but you wouldn't have thought of it yourself, so you let it go through. Other times you don't like it so you refuse it. Maybe the only issue is that programming it not to then try to do the same thing again over and over might be kind of hard; but if they can work that out, and they really should try, it would be a great addition. |
