Having to bring in a "cold" pitcher when a pitcher gets injured

Can you please fix when a pitcher gets injured in game that you have to bring in a "cold" pitcher from the bullpen?

In MLB, that bullpen pitcher would never be "cold" because they are allowed to take as many pitches as they need to get ready.

I seem to remember a thread from past versions where it was discussed that the pitcher inserted into the lineup was automatically considered to be fully warmed up. There isn’t really any way to visually confirm this in the game, but the pitcher is supposed to perform as though he were fully warmed.

This is correct.

Is this the same after a long rain delay? I assume it would be, since there isn't a chance to warm someone else up before play restarts.

I'm not actually sure about that. Matt?

Yeah, injuries, ejections, and rain delays all have new pitchers auto-warm when they come in.

I have found that you can verify the rain delay "auto-warm" feature by putting a reliever in the bullpen and his status becomes ready immediately after the first pitch by the pitcher that was in the game prior to the delay.

I usually let the pitcher that was in the game finish pitching to the batter that he was facing prior to the delay, but I put the RP in the bullpen just to be sure he's ready. After I throw the first pitch following the delay, the RP status changes to ready. You can't do this with other situations because the substitution is required immediately.
