Question / Badges or Circle Logos
Hi guys,
I've come across a need to take some images and turn them into circular badges/logos, but not for OOTP purposes. I recall that there are lots of good ones around here. Can anyone tell me, is the process of "badge-ifying" an image difficult? Anyone willing to give me some advice? I did some googling, and it seems like there are many many badge creation apps, but they are for pay and I’m not looking to spend money on this right now. For the record, I don’t own photoshop. Thanks!

You can download Justafan's Pickoff software for free. Here's the link.

Thanks. I've been messing around with it to no great success.
Dumb question of the day: If I have a transparent .png file, and I load it up in Pickoff, and the background appears white, does that mean I was unsuccessful in making the background transparent?

If it has a background, then it's not transparent.

Looks like I’m stuck on the pre-justafan stuff then!

battists, as you know from the Beta Team from long, long ago when you were in charge of it... and I might say, did a terrific job running it... EC is not the sharpest tool in the woodshed... but post the image you want to be transparent and I should be able to do it using paint.net.
Are you sure the image has a white background... you didn't choose a white background in pickoff, did you? Post it here and I'll see what I can do. |

If you have a transparent .png file you can change the background of the logo. As Tx said, if the image has a background it's not transparent. In Pickoff you can select the background of the logo on the left of the screen

Guys, thanks so much for your help! I finally figured it all out. I didn’t end up using pick off, but it’s all good!
Much appreciated! And Eugene, great to see you!
