Starting Pitcher Injuries
In first game of 2020 season, in the second inning, Danny Duffy tears his UCL and needs Tommy John for my Royals.
In fourth game, Jake Junis leaves in the first inning with a "sore elbow" but is day to day. Shane Bieber of Cleveland also tore his UCL and needs Tommy John after game one. Is this a bug or just normal and will iron itself out as the season goes on? Thanks! Dave |

Also, there is a behind the scenes “rust” rating that makes the chance of a player getting hurt in their first game / maybe small group of games back from a long rest higher. This was added based on statistical study and a similar process existed all the way back in Sierra Online’s Baseball Pro games.

May be my imagination but it sure does seem the pitcher injuries are far more frequent and severe than everyday players injuries
