Front Office Football player story lines

Since FOF will be taking on the architecture of OOTP, I think it's safe to say that, just like OOTP, there will be player story lines. I've come up with a few generic ones that seem to happen every year across the NFL. I'll leave the players name blank because this will be a template. I'll kick it off. Here goes:

(BTW, this is mean to be humorous, I don't mean to offend anyone. It straight from the headlines and feels like it happens every year)

<PLAYER NAME> was caught by police going 150 mph on a Florida Highway. Inside <XXXX>'s car, police found a pound of marijuana and three strippers. No word yet on a suspension.

<XXXX> shot himself in the leg with a .44 at a nightclub yesterday. He was arrested by police. He'll miss the entire year and face jail time.

<XXXX> announces his new XX## method. Today, his team announced his sociopathic personal trainer has been banned from the locker room... XXXX will be appearing onstage with Pitbull and that (nut job) motivational speaker Tony Robins this month.

Will he or won't he? <XXXX> hasn't yet announced his return next season. On his twitter account he's been dropping hints about a career in staring in <dumb action movies>

<Four letter Network> is reporting XXXX was punched in the face by a teammate yesterday for owing him money.

WR XXXX of the <his team> says in an interview that raising a child is like having a pet. (This was Julian Edelman with katie Nolan.)

XXXX has announced his new Facebook documentary "Me vs Myself and I" It will be out in February.

Owner of the XXXX was arrested for drunk driving and possession of twelve cases of aderall...

Feel free to contribute...

I wouldn't make that assumption until we see a feature list.

That said, to some degree, those sorts of things already appear in FOF as one-offs when players are suspended.

I would agree with that. In fact I'd say it's probably more likely the first version of this partnership wouldn't include something like that than would.

This whole post is kind of a joke really. I'm just making fun of the ongoing themes in the NFL.

Actually, I could care less if they have story lines.

As I recall wasn't there a small spot of trouble regarding real life players being suspended in OOTP for off- field behavior when OOTP signed it's deal with MLB ? Anyone else recall that?

Yeah, no drug suspensions... I think.

There is NO WAY any of the story lines I've listed would make it in the game.

so unrealistic. Like an NFLer is stupid enough to shoot themselves in the leg at a nightclub

If Jim gets say it will be:

<PLAYER NAME> was caught by police going 150 mph on a Florida Highway. Inside <XXXX>'s car, police found a pack of cigarettes. He is expected to be suspended for two seasons for violating the league's strict anti-tobacco policy.

<PLAYER> knelt during the National Anthem. <PLAYER> has been fined by his team and suspended for 1 week.

3 days later:
After public outcry, <PLAYER>'s suspension has been vacated. <PLAYER> will return for <PLAYER_TEAM>'s next game against <UPCOMING_OPPONENT>.

The next week:
<PLAYER_TEAM> attendance drops 40%.

Too soon?

Giants fan here. That’s still a sore subject. It cost us a chance at a Super Bowl.
