Minor League Rosters
I really don’t want to micromanage all my minor league teams. But if I set it up for the minor league managers/asst gm to handle things, it gets real weird. I recently had a guy who was hitting near .400 demoted. And I have had a team whose five man bench was a catcher, a first baseman, and three outfielders, none of whom can play infield, leading to games where they had a left handed shortstop or a catcher at short. Is there a way to require a more reasonable distribution of positions on the bench without having to do it myself?

what are his ratings? does he even have a ceiling that can reach the mlb?
do you have roser rules and such? this can cause some of those odd things and the ai simply has its hands tied. increasing draft size may help, if you are seeing many teams with benches like that or simply not enough of each type of player -- be morce concered about their defensive ability ratings than their labeled position, though. if they are playing somehwere else, but they are listed as a 3b, it really doesn't matter what their label is if all the bases are covered with depth at that level. don't get me wrong, i am not a fan of the sophistication in this area of the game, even so, many of these problems are self-inflicted, too. i think i replied to another post, so i won't repeat it here. you can leave it to the ai and it should be okay. you could micro-manage simpler stuff and leave teh time-consuming stuff to the ai, too. all personal preference on that stuff. the records and stats in teh mil are 99% meaningless to the mlb and development of prospects. so, don't think it's neccessary, but if you want tro 'crush' the game, you'll want to be hands-on.
