Jersey Creator - Page 30

I opened the template, and picked default. Created a jersey, saved it as SAVED JERSEY.
Exited.
Came back opened open template, picked the SAVED JERSEY I created, says Root Element Missing.

Can someone give me the correct procedure to create a Jersey. I'm doing something wrong I guess.

It can't be that difficult.

It isn't that difficult, I have used the program many times without a glitch. One question, when you save it as "SAVED JERSEY" do you press the Save Template button or Save Jersey button?

I saved by clicking Save Jersey, with the Team Name Home. It shows as saved. I open template to see the saved templates and saved jerseys, and pick the saved jersey I named. Box opens up and says Root Element missing.

You need to save it as a template and not a jersey. The templates saves as an .xml file and the jersey saves as a .png file When you hit open template you need to select a .xml file

Not sure if that is the problem or not, but hopefully this will work for you.

Show me a screenshot of the files in your root JC folder.

I am wondering how do you get the Nike symbol on the jersey, like on the collar?

Tick "Manufacturer's Mark" then select Nike from the drop-down. You can choose what color you want it to appear and drag-and-drop it wherever on the jersey you want it to be. You can also change the size of the logo.

Won't work for the standalone program (which is what BKL was referring to, since his question is in JF's program topic) since it isn't an option.

Whoops! I always confuse Jersey Creator with Jersey Maker (the web program).

So anyway, BKL, if you use Eriq Jaffe's web-based Jersey Maker, you can do what you want with the Nike Swoosh.

They do work basically the same way, but the web based one seems to be more flexible with what you can do than standalone version.

Plus, the Jersey Creator is a Windows-only program, whereas, being HTML5, the web-based Jersey Maker is cross-platform. For Mac people like myself, Jersey Creator is sadly not an option. But Jersey Maker - heck, I've even used it with Safari on my iPad!

Great program, having so much fun.

Is there a way to add fonts? If not may I request English Towne Medium font be added, nice old school font, also used by the A's. I'm trying to make my backgrounds transparent but not having much luck, the font would be a lifesaver.

If it's a true type font installed on your system you can use it in the Jersey Creator program.

I use Paint Shop Pro to set lettering or images against a transparent background and save the files as .png's. Nothing to it.

It looks like your jersey .png isn't 512 x 512.

Assuming nothing has changed in OOTP18 from previous versions.
