I dont think it matters. If you have alot of saved info however it will take awhile.

When people refer to this "almanac", what are they referring to?

Obviously it is not the league history because that is separate, right?

I am at 26 hours and 671240 records done.

File is 4.46 GB and is a 9 year league with only last 2 yrs saved.

I came here for this answer and thought the thread might be worth a bump anyway.


It seems like a better idea to import at some dead point during the offseason, so that you can have a clean backup before you start and can advance a day or two if you need to clean something up after the import. Anyone have any different thoughts/experiences?

i have transactions set to "2 years" as well as news and injuries.

i was upto ~400-500k transactions optimized before i ended the process. these settings never seem to limit that stuff for me, lol. the temp file during conversion was ~10gb, if i recall. i posted at the time with more accurate #'s.

does restoring a backup clear that stuff out? i'd knock it down to "keep none" for all of it and restart the process if it saves 4-10 hours. which directories to i delete from? etc...
