Always find it funny about people wondering whether to invest in a $40 game like they are buying a house or new car.

As a very poor man with a mortgage, wife, and two children, it isn't a decision that I take lightly. It is the only video game I buy now partially because of finances. BUT, I always make sure to buy it

When you use a 70 inch screen you easily can get fooled

Oh, BTW, you should change your signature ... unless you really want us to buy OOTP18

So why should I buy OOTP19?
I don't know. I played OOTP 18 more than v16 and v17. There is no right answer.

I always thought 42 was the answer to the meaning of life, the universe, and everything. Must be the right answer...Right?

I consider the $40 purchase simply my way of sending $3.33 a month to OOTP. That's my subscription to them to keep quality sim games alive.

why would anyone play 16 more than 18? I don't understand, each version seems pretty clearly better

It depends on how you play it. Several people on here like to ply historical random debut. In 17 and 18, that style seems to be putting out and inordinate amount of career seasons for players. It’s borderline unrealistic and it’s happening across the board. So in that case, you can see why someone sticks with 16, where the numbers are more tilted toward realistic for that particular mode

3200 hours and rising OOTP16. 600 OOTP18. I like 200 hit seasons to mean something.

No, just take last year's burger and update it yourself.

And it does in v18 for me. What was the problem with 200 hits?

200 hits is fine. But when 200 hits is no longer a benchmark, but just an ordinary season, it becomes an issue. When it's a regular thing for guys to get 240+ or 250+ it becomes an even bigger issue. This was documented in the bug forum. Historical produces good overall league numbers, but individual seasons are way too hot.

I need more control over the schedule editor(schedule neutral site games).

A third conference.

Regular season games between teams(not in associations) with the stats from the games remaining in the teams current leagues (rather than go to the home team league stats).

This would keep me interested in buying the new game.

For now I will wait and see if anything interesting develops.

A good way to look at it since Markus and co. work on each version for several months unlike most console releases with their patches in the first couple months then silence until it's time to hype up the next release.

I play only that one league anymore and only migrate it when a version is rock stable... but after a while you get comfy with the version and migrating would be a hassle, and eh... it's all too much work...

How big is your universe? Mine has 4 ML's 2 Indy leagues each ML has 2-4 levels of Minors. The only thing one really has to do after converting a league is redo 3D stadiums and stadium pics. I tend to do parks as i play that team otherwise its takes about 30 mins. Conversion since OOTP 13. Only takes 30-45 minutes, usually to convert a league. I will agree 16 seemed more stable then 18 though.
