Can't copy files into a saved game

A couple of the items that have popped up on the Steam Workshop instruct that, for an in-progress game, I need to copy files into the folder for that saved game. But when I look in my saved_games folder, there is only a readme.txt in there.

I'm running the game on a Mac.

I don't have a Mac, so I'm not sure if I can help, but on a PC, the saved games are stored in the C:\Users\username\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\Franchise Hockey Manager 4 folder. So maybe they're in a different folder on a Mac too?

And did you look in the data\saved_games folder or in the default_data\saved_games folder? I noticed that there is a saved_games folder in the default_data folder that contains only a readme file.

There is no data\saved_games folder.
