Raleigh NC Expansion Concepts
The group trying to bring MLB to Raleigh asked local designers to come up with identity concepts. There are twelve in all. Some could be modded up for OOTP for other cities as well.

Thanks for sharing this... hope they come up with better nicknames than these... not too crazy about the logos, either.
Sorry, I am an old codger... I like traditional names and logos for baseball teams... call the team Raleigh, not a regional name like Carolina. Raleigh is a planned city... with beautiful oak trees... it's known as "The City of Oaks"... note the Raleigh seal. Also known as "The Triangle" for its fine universities, North Carolina, North Carolina State and Duke... this Triangle is known for its technology industry... the Research Triangle. Raleigh Oaks or Raleigh Cybercats would be my suggestion for a nickname. Last edited by Eugene Church; 11-02-2019 at 01:42 PM. |

For the Raleigh Cybercats.
Of course, I would probably do it in Green and Gold colors to incorporate the city's colors in the Seal of Raleigh. And, for sure, it would be Green and Gold for the Raleigh Oaks... or Green and White... or Dark Green and Light Green... anything but Red and Black... why in the world did the designer pick Red and Black colors for the Oaks? Might be better to name them the Raleigh-Durham Bulls... or Raleigh-Durham Oaks.
Or Raleigh-Durham Cybercats. Build the park halfway between the towns... they look like they are pretty close together... about 25-30 miles apart. Maybe they could draw fans from both cities. |

Now that Eugene has me feeling guilty for not posting unis anymore 😉, I will take a stab at the Reapers and the Pine Brigade. Stay tuned.

A simple interweb search of common birds found in Wake County reveals better nicknames; Robins, Chickadees, Bluebirds, Wrens, Juncos, Warblers, Thrashers, Kingbirds.

The owners should save their money on high-priced graphics pros and let the OOTP Community design it and pick it for them. |

Most of these are good but sound awfully minor league.
In terms of MLB caliber teams, I would go 1. Carolina Captains 2. Raleigh Nobles 3. Raleigh Capitals 4. Raleigh Hounds 5. NC Harmony

I wouldn't pick it either but I thought it sounded better than the Oak City Owls.
