34-team schedule request

Hi guys,
A little of an odd request here, but hopefully not too hard from the scheduling side. I recently started a new season, then found some schedule problems that I wanted fixed up. I ended up spending the last couple of weeks messing with a spreadsheet to come up with something to my liking, but its becoming too much of a pain, and I hoped someone with a little more scheduling expertise could help me out.

What makes things slightly tricky is that my season has already advanced to opening day, so I don't think I can regenerate or import a new schedule. Correct? If this is the case, I'm willing to manually edit the schedule (something I've already spent plenty of time messing with), but I would need someone willing to send me a written schedule in some form.

Would anyone be interested?
It's a 34-team, 2 subleagues, balanced schedule, 3 game series throughout, some basic interleague.

Does the 34-team schedule on the main thread not work?

We need a little more information:

How many teams in each subleague and each division.

How many total games are you looking for?

Do you want an All Star Game?

No problem. Here's the info:

I'm looking for a 162-game schedule in 54 3-game series. My NL has 6 teams in the east, 6 in the central, and 5 out west. AL is has 5/6/6 for E/C/W.

3 series/9 games each vs. teams in own league (144 games)

Interleague (The part that I messed up doing myself):
1 series/3 games each vs. teams in same region division (18 total, 9 home/9 away).
Teams with only 5 interleague opponent add one series against opposite subleague division with 5 opponents. (In my case, this is gives one NL East/AL West matchup).
I'd like at least one interleague series every day, no more than 3 of them at a given time, and only one at a time over the last couple weeks of the season.

The all-star game is after just 25 of 54 series.

Anything else?

To clarify, you want the interleague match ups to be:

ALC v NLC
ALW v NLE
ALE v NLW

The rest should be enough info to get started on

I will try to make it so there are 1-3 interleague series going on at all times with no blanket interleague days; but I'm not sure if I can at this point.

I am almost certain I could do 1 interleague series per day and then several days of all interleague.

I will work with this some more to see what I can do.

Actually for interleague, I'm looking for same regions (AL East vs. NL East, etc.).

Because I haven't expanded their opposite divisions to 6 teams each like the others, the AL West and NL East need a 6th interleague matchup, so I figured on them playing each other for the one extra series.

Let me know if this makes sense.

Thanks.

I think I got it:

ALE will play all 6 teams from the NLE, but the NLE only plays 5 series vs. the ALE (because only 5 teams)

The last Interleauge game series will be the NLE v ALW (both 6 team divisions)

Going through my templates, it looks like I have this right now. 54 total series. I can run an 18 team rotation (team 18 is a place holder) so when a team plays "team 18", that's their turn for interleague.

So you can see, there are 17 series each rotation. Each team will play 3 interleague series and 48 division series. (each rotation is 16 division and 1 interleauge)

That is a total of 51 series. That leaves 3 interleague series all by themselves. I'm not really sure at this point how to integrate those series into the rotations so their is no interleague only days. I will try, but at this point it looks like I will have 3 series of interleague only, and 51 series of 1 interleague game.

That's exactly right on the interleague format. I can see how the one interleague game a day would be tough from your template, so go ahead and do the 3 interleague only series. I can live with it fine.

Just wanted to give you an update. This is the toughest schedule I have had to create so it's taking a little longer.

I have 25 more series to schedule and then copy the whole thing into my open office .lsdl file template.

Should be a few more days.
