What's your talent change randomness settings?

Just curious how did you set your TCR in this version? Seems like it has been changed in this version and the default one has more randomness than former version!?

I used to go with 120-130 but put it back to 100 just in case.

What is your setting?

100 but it's too early in my league to tell if it should go up or down or stay in same.

When you set 200, does it affect more the younger players/prospects or there's a lot of guys that have 2-3 very good seasons and turn into garbage after?

135 seems to be a nice compromise for me.

Really depends on what I'm trying to accomplish with my league.

Big league I usually use 200

I have a small rural league that I set at 50

Two different situations in the way they're setup and what I'm trying to achieve/see in each.

There's a whole thread on settings that goes well beyond TCR. You should check it out. When you combine everything it can really change your experience

No, it affects potential/talent so young players are going to change more frequently than vets. There are no 2-3 years then players turn into garbage unless it had to do with injuries.

Also the changes are not drastic. You're 18 year old prospect with with little power potential will not become a player with a lot of power potential overnight and vice versa. It can happen but it would take years if he's lucky/unlucky with the dice rolls.

100 is fine, especially in OOTP 17 where it seems like there are more prospects that bust.

Experimenting with a 125 setting in a historical recreation starting in 1919 to see if I see a change over time. I am not sure if I will, the next step would be a 150 setting.

Then why isn't 200 default? Currently the game seems to be overly dramatic in how it just destroys players and makes good players out of junk.

Players being destroyed could be a few other things like aging, the way the draft is handled this year & injuries along with talent changes.

At 100 low tier prospects can still become future all stars.

If you think players change too much on 100 then that should explain why 200 is not default just like high injuries aren't default.

I personally do like randomness on pre-MLB players. However I don't like established players all of a sudden playing terribly. I see too many all stars batting near .200 just all of a sudden. I think I am going to start calling it the Jason Heyward issue... as it seems to really impact him.

Don't think that have anything to do with tcr. Might be players having a bad season or aging. I play with 200 and its ordinary for a player to have 5+ years of consistent stat lines.
