Historical minor leagues
That's a total game changer for historical replays. I'm embarrassed how excited I am about that.

I'm pumped as well.
Here's hoping the wonderful modding community works on historical uniforms and logos. |

This was one of the main reasons I was always turned off by historical. Too many injuries, no free agents, and no one to replace disabled players with. This is great.

Credit Spritze and BigRod here, they have put together the huge historical minor league database. Amazing job!

I can't wait to see if Mike Hessman will repeat his "Crash" Davis career, or break through and make an impact in the majors.

The current situation: Debut players with a low amount of MLB appearances will have a high probability for injury. They can also have high ratings, which often causes the AI to put them in the starting lineup. Invariably, they are injured and sometimes they suffer a CEI.
How is this situation handled in the new version? Will they have normal injury history/ratings and performance ratings that would influence the AI to keep them in the minors? |

Love this as well.
I did a "fictional players' real MLB history starting in 1901 with real expansion, etc. Took so much time editing the minor league affiliates. LOVE that I won't have to do that anymore. |

Any update to allow to play without recalc on and players working better with development engine? For example a player that had 2 at bats as a 26 year old in 1902 with a zero average and then coming alive at age 28 in 1904. The game introduces him in 1902 with nothing current but good potentials, but because he's 26... the development engine never lets the player reach his potential like he did in real life.

I'm impressed, and this gets a preorder right away.
How deep does this go? If I started a 1920 historical league, would the minor league players all show up on the correct rosters? So I could theoretically play the historical 1920 PCL season with the real rosters at the same time as the historical major league season? How many leagues would there be?

Does this mean we get Minor League Histories now?
League Champions, overall records, etc. ? Or something akin to a franchise relocation/suspension: Evansville Triplets >>>> Nashville Sounds Nashville Xpress >>>> Port City Roosters >>>> Montgomery Biscuits |

Question on historical import for drafts. I currently run an online league where I've MANUALLY imported real historical players at their age 18-19 levels instead of their debut age, which kind of mirrors what I'm seeing here (AWESOME). My league, however, is fictional. As a fictional league, will I be able to let OOTP AUTOMATICALLY generate my amateur draft each season? Or will I have to continue to manually import?
Thank you very much for this amazing feature!!!

OK understood, thank you for the response. As long as I'll be able to include all these new minor league folks, it's still a game changer!!

Indy, Negro and International leagues aren't currently included in the default setup. Maybe that's a feature for the future, let's hope so! I know we have a lot of the data collected. Last edited by Lukas Berger; 02-19-2016 at 12:17 PM. |
