No.

I have only one save that I play. The Raccoons are everything I am and have, and nothing else fancies me. I can not upgrade to 17 until the usual round of patches is through, since I absolutely require a 100.0% rock-solid game to run them Critters in, since the second that save game derails and dies, I'll die along with it.

well ..... yep ....just pre-ordered and now waiting not-so-patiently for the actual release. thinking rather than import my 16 game, i may just start over in 1901 again and use their minors leagues from 1920 on .... got a whole month to debate that with myself .....

I typically start clean with real MLB.. I've grown so attached to this league (in 2021 now) that I'm thinking about bringing it over to v17. Not sure yet though... never been this attached to a league/team in any text sim like this before.

Still worth it, but the CDN currency conversion is BRUTAL. Looking to add it to the cart, and $35 USD turns into $52 CDN.

Eugene: pre-ordering gives a company money now for development, testing and marketing. It's perfectly okay to pre-order; if it hurt them, they wouldn't make the offer.

Plus, look up "present value."

i preordered for just the 2nd time and never this early before. I am in the same boat as Westheim. but i will play other leagues until the game is patched enough to transfer my main league.

Sucks I just realized when the pre-order and normal released comes out the week I will be away for my anniversary. I won't get to play the game till 3 days after March 22 release

Haven't touched 16 in quite a while (working on some mega-spreadsheet to analyse draft prospects, and Scouting Pool Announcement day had become a big job!) and wasn't sure about upgrading.

By the time I'd finished reading the announcement email, my wallet was in my hand. Very excited, particularly for the increased processing speed!

I haven't and don't know if I will or not. It's not that I'm not sure if I will buy ootp. After buying every version since ootp 2, Markus and the ootp gang have earned my trust in their product that I know I will buy it.
The $5 doesn't really make that much a difference to me. If ootp gets 5 more I don't mind. I can still play ootp 16.
I do hope to get ootp 17 by opening day.

Now that you mention it, i will be in AZ for Spring Training, leaving the 18th so i won't be able to play it until I get back on the 21st

Ok so it's not the same but it's like my anniversary to OOTP.
