Historical Player Import?

I was looking at "Historical Player Import" Screenshot & I was wondering what "Adjust Hitter with less than X At Bat" means? What is being adjusted? I also need clarification on:
"Make bad hitters with less than 50 at-bat"
"Adjust Pitchers with less than X Innings"
"Make bad pitchers with less than X Innings"

they are options used to keep cup-of-coffee players from becoming superstuds, ie. a guy who played 1 game and went 3 for 4, wont become a guy who hits .400 over a 20 year career.

I was wondering if the small issues with importing historical players have been addressed. I like to import historical players, then play a career so the major thing for me are players who import with ratings equal to their talent or sometimes above it. Basically I don't want to import real rookies that are already MLB ready.

Stu - all the player stats in the DB are major league stats, so when they come in they are major league ready. Gambo tried to modify the DB and regress player seasons before their actual debut, you can try his DB. However, I do find historical simulations more realistic to just have players enter the game the first full season that they played historically...this way you don't have guys debuting at the major league level 2 or 3 years before they actually did, plus they will debut with the types of rating that they should have.

Garlon, Interesting info. Thanks. I guess I had never really thought about the balance they need to strike between historical replays and careers. I'll have to check out Gambo's DB.
