New Player Creation

Can anyone tell me when the game creates brand new players? Is it just at the start of the year (July 1) for the draft prospects, or are free agents, foreign players, new players, etc. created at other times as well? I am trying to find and review all new players created by the game during the season.

Always July 1. The only other time a player would be created would be a situation where a team needs a player to fill out its roster for a game and there are literally no more available in the database. In that case, it'll generate a bad player as an emergency roster-filler - not anyone you'd ever want to have on your team.

Will they all just show up as free agents then, if I were to look at the entire free agents list each July 1st? Also, is there someplace I can view the entire database of players (or all players in the league - free agents, unsigned draftees, active players, retirees, etc.)?

Depends on the type of game. In a standard game, the new players show up on the under-14 (Europe/Asia) or bantam (North America) teams. The only time new players are created as free agents is a historical game with the draft option on.

The search feature (magnifying glass icon and text box at the top of the screen) will let you view the whole database, and filter it by all of the fields you've mentioned except draft rights. It'd be a little tricky to filter precisely for new players only, though - you'd need to specify the age range, and unless you look on December 31 the upper end of that would inevitably include some players generated the previous year, but with a late birthday that hasn't happened yet.
