A little tougher of a question...

Hello, I am a novice to this game (my first year purchasing OOTP), and I was wondering. When you start a fictional league, and it says you can choose where all the players come from, is there somewhere in the files where you can set what countries/states players come from? A video tutorial would be the best, but not sure if there is one. Basically, I need this for my fictional league where I need players from Finland (Kaikki hail Suomi), Michigan, Florida, and maybe a couple of more states, my idea is a little crazy

When you are setting up your fictional league, you can use the optional region as an easy way to define where players will come from - if you set the region, which includes countries, groups of countries, and groups of states, all players will only come from your region. Now for your case where you want specific states and countries, I'm not sure if that is possible. You can use the default player origin and draft pool origin to set which countries players will come from, but I don't think you can set individual states in that system. You could set it to have all players from Finland, the US, and other countries you wanted however.

Peregrine, which of the region options would I choose? Would it be "Auto region: 2 nations" or what?

What I think you could do is find the US region that is the closest to what you want, like Upper Midwest, or whatever, and use that. Then you could add Finland into your list of where players will be generated from on the origin page.
