After making a trade, where are those players listed?

After I make a trade, I am forced to go to the player page to assign them to the proper team, where should I be going to actually do this versus the actual individuals players page?

Thanks!

If they're major leaguers, they'll be on your Designated For Assignment list. Minor leaguers generally (i.e. anybody not on the 25 man roster, with the exception of people not on the 25 man but on the 40 man, and where you don't have a spare spot on your 40) get pushed to the highest level of minors, although if you have your minors automated the computer manager will immediately push them to the level if feels the player ought to go to.

Also, you can read the email message and click on the names of the players you've acquired to see where they automatically landed.

I've noticed that anytime someone in my league makes a trade for a minor leaguer, that player gets put in their lowest level minor league team. Even top prospects who are major league-ready. They'll have a green up arrow beside their name bu they all get dumped into the Rookie leagues for some reason. Maybe it's because I'm in commish mode when I process the trades?

It happens to me too. That's why I click their name links in the email of the trade, so I know where to look and how much to promote.

The players will do to the lowest minor leagues if you do not have managers managing the promotions/demotions in the minors. If you are having the minor league managers managing the promotions/demotions the players will be placed at the level the staff believes they should be at.

Ah! Good to know! All our minor league teams are set to have promotions/demotions done by our real life GMs. Thanks for that info!

They do end up going to your rookie league team, or if it's a big leaguer they will be DFA'd and you have to put them on your team roster manually. I make a lot of deals playing in commish mode (along with a fantasy draft) so I'm checking that screen a lot....must be my ADHD kicking in!! LOL :-P
