Edit: Resolved on my own: Adding New League to Existing Game resets the game to 2014?
Hi all,
I'm not sure if this is a bug or I'm just doing something wrong. I'm testing things for a dynasty and encountering an issue. Game start Date: 2014. It's a standard game with MLB and Mexico with an added AA league for Mexico and a new league with 2 sub league that's unaffiliated and AAA level. Play out year one. So far so good. I go into the Wizard to create a new fictional league. Again, 2 sub leagues. The game would not allow me to go into advanced mode when creating the new league. I set it to default to 2014 levels. But for schedule start date, it will only allow 2014. I tried running with it, then going into options and starting the first game for 2015 but nope it took the whole game back to 2014 on the calendar. Is this a bug? Are we not allowed to add new leagues after initial set-up (find that hard to believe)? Or did I screw up a setting. Any help appreciated. Edit: So i played around a bit, and apparently the culprit is an easy thing to accidentally click: "Select Standard Settings" That's the thing that turns back the clock, as it were, to 2014. To keep going, you have to leave it blank. There should be a note about this on the wizard page, or at least a way to un-select it. Because here's the evil part: Once you select it, your game reverts to 2014, EVEN IF YOU CANCEL THE CREATION! At least now I know why it was happening. Last edited by Trebro; 05-01-2014 at 09:26 PM. This is a bug that I mentioned in the bug report thread. For me the year was being set to whatever default setting I chose. So you went back in time in mine I went 10 years into the future.
The work around until its fixed is to make the league in a new game and then save as a template. Then import the template into your game.
