Question No babe ruth!!!!

I NEED HELP!!!! I HAVE BEEN doing a historical replay with real players using a draft system, i am in 1916 and still there is no Babe Ruth on any of the teams, so my question is does anyone know when he appears?? or is something wrong with my replay???

He should've appeared in the 1913 draft so that he can debut in 1914. There might be something in your settings, but without knowing what they are I'm not sure what it could be. Are you getting all the other historical players of the time?

he comes in as a lowly rated pitcher in the December 1913 draft. Not sure why he is not there for you

Yes go to commish mode. Go to free agents. Click on import historical free agent. Type in his baseball reference which is “ruthba01” and choose what year you want him Imported from.

1. Go to your FA screen
2. From the Available Actions drop down screen select Import Historical Player
3. Navigate your way to the OOTP 18 folder then the stats folder
4. select the historical database.odb
5. type in ruthba01 then the year. For the rest for your purposes i would select real, remaining years, imported season for the other 2. Click import
6. sign him quickly. in one league using neutralized stats he has over 1100 HR and wasnt a full time hitter until age 31.

step 5 - make certain you put a comma then a space before typing the year.
ruthba01, 1924 ----------- as an example

If its a single import its not needed and also not needed in a text file either. I've never had an issue imported a major league player on any version. It doesnt hurt to do what you say but ultimately they import without spaces as well.

Why do you choose 'Imported season" instead of entire career or 3 year period?

For this import he is playing a historical replay, so with imported season it should use 3 yr after that. I always use career if I am importing a player into a custom league or just randomly.

Also check league history. Not just free agents.
He might have had career ending injury

I think a simple search for RUTH in the game's search field will find him no matter where he is. Even in retired players.
