NHL Future Sim
Here is my attempt at an NHL Future Sim using my Dax's Edits v5.1, I added a few missing players from youth leagues and changed a bunch of attributes to get a slightly different outcome. Trade frequency is set to 15 and Goals and Penalties per game have been slightly increased.
I will be playing as only Commissioner. I will not interfere with the game and will only provide monthly/yearly updates. Most of these updates will only come in the form of text but I may add a few pictures now and again. Any feedback on what you would like to see would be appreciated. So without further ado here the first portion of the 2017/2018 season. 2017/2018 NHL Season August 2017A couple of trades happened that was about it. Trades of Note 9th Colorado Trades: Blake Comeau Arizona Trades: Nick Cousins. Thoughts: Depth deal 10th Toronto Trades: 2018 4th rounder to Pittsburgh Trades: Antii Niemi. Thoughts: Looks like Pittsburgh is trading Niemi before he can stink it up for them. Good deal for Pitts. September 2017 Nothing happened it was a boring month. October 2017 Some interesting changes have happened before the season even began. The Leafs waived Matt Martin and he was claimed by... none other than the New York Islanders. Trades of Note 10th Columbus Trades: Joonas Korpisalo New Jersey Trades: Marcus Johansson Thoughts: Odd deal for NJ for sure but it bolsters their net for the future. Columbus comes out the clear winner here. Johansson slots in nicely on their 2LW next to Dubinsky. 20th: Blockbuster Alert!!! Calgary Trades: Mark Giordano and the rights to D'Artagnan Joly Florida Trades: Vincent Trochek and the rights to Matt Buckles Thoughts: Panthers are looking to bolster their blueline at the expense of another smaller forward. Interesting deal we will see how it plays out for both teams. Top 3 League Leaders of the Month Goals 1. W. Simmonds (PHI) - 11 2. R. Getzlaf (ANA) - 8 3. P. Kane (CHI) - 8 Assists 1. Jam. Benn (DAL) - 14 2. E. Karlsson (OTT) - 13 3. M. Scheifele (WPG) - 13 Points 1. Jam. Benn (DAL) - 21 2. A. Ovechkin (WAS) - 20 3. W. Simmonds (PHI) - 19 November 2017 Nothing major to report on here. Trades of Note 29th Philly Trades: Brian Elliot NY Isles Trade: 2018 3rd Round Draft Pick Thoughts: The Flyers were 2nd in their division but riding the hot hand of Nuevirth. Halak was waived in NYI so looks to be them trying to get Elliot to tandem with Griess. Not a bad deal for either team as Stolarz gets the call up in Philly and they recupe a pick in the process. Top 3 League Leaders of the Month Goals 1. Jam. Benn (DAL) - 17 2. W. Simmonds (PHI) - 17 3. A. Ovechkin (WAS) - 15 Assists 1. T. Seguin (DAL) - 26 2. Jam. Benn (DAL) - 22 3. A. Kopitar (LAK) - 20 Points 1. T. Seguin (DAL) - 40 2. Jam. Benn (DAL) - 39 3. A. Ovechkin (WAS) - 35 December 2017 The Oilers have been having a pretty dreadful first few months and in a major shakeup have fired Head Coach Todd McClellan, promoting assistant coach Ian Herbers. The Panthers also fired HC Boughner and hired Don Jackson who recently coached in Germany. Benn and Seguin continue their absolute tear on the league similar to Stammer and Kucherov's right now. Top 3 League Leaders of the Month Goals 1. A. Ovechkin (WAS) - 25 2. Jam. Benn (DAL) - 24 3. W. Simmonds (PHI) - 23 Assists 1. T. Seguin (DAL) - 40 2. Jam. Benn (DAL) - 33 3. S. Stamkos (TBL) - 29 Points 1. T. Seguin (DAL) - 60 2. Jam. Benn (DAL) - 57 3. A. Ovechkin (WAS) - 50 More to come..... |
