How-to Matchups
this is a basic balanced schedule with a balanced # of teams. it can be a framework you can use to rotate interleague or out of division series of different # of games played by adding gaps systematical. each empty matchup slot must be made up later on. so if in the 14-team example they play 1 series out of division/league per cycle, 14 rows will be required, not 13.
here's an easy way to create a matchup grid of any size. oops didn't check second image. there is a 15th team to demonstrate how out of league or out of devision games would need to be rotated in or extra days off will result... the matchup is 1-14 in ascending order starting in row 2. it's not meant to be a specific answer. more gaps could be added etc.
scaling should be easy. if somethign is asymetrical, you also have to rotate that effect each time you repeat the full cycle of matchups.
