A couple of schedule requests...

Any chance anybody out there can whip up either of the following:

15 teams, 1 league, 2 divisions (8/7), 162 games.

7 teams, 1 league, 1 division, 162 games.

I realize this will lead to idle teams during the season, and that's fine.

Thanks!

Here is the one for the 15-team league. I used the default OOTP schedule as my foundation, which is why it's certainly not perfect. But all away and home game totals are 81. Here is the breakdown:

12 games vs. 12 teams=144
9 games vs. 2 teams=18

There is one matchup where one team plays 9 games at another team, while only hosting that team 3 times. Has to do with one of the teams getting the extra home games in both of their 9-game series. It really only affects those two teams.

If that's a huge problem, let me know and I'll try to see if I can play around with it more. Just seems as I was trying to balance that out that there wasn't a quick fix. I was trying to finish it quickly for you in case you need it fast. But if you can wait on me to troubleshoot it more, I can try to find a solution to even out that imbalance.

I've used your fonts many times in my games, and I wanted to show my appreciation so I wanted to try to help you. Hope I did.

I may be able to make a 7-team schedule for you in the next week or so if someone doesn't beat me to it.

How do you work the off days with the 15th team?

Thanks, cheo! That schedule works great - I wasn't really concerned with the schedule being really balanced, my main concern was that I wanted every team to play 162 games.

The series are all three-game series, so the extra team is just off for those three days. The off team rotates so that they're only off every 15th series, I think. In calendar time, that should be about every 7 1/2 weeks.

No problem! I'll see if I can get your seven-team schedule set up some time this week.

Here is the 7-team schedule. Pretty easy to build, so I built it from scratch. Each team plays the others 27 times each for 162 games for all.

Thanks again, cheo!

I hate to impose (but I'm going to anyways ), but can you whip up 144-game schedules for the following league sizes?

5, 7, 9, 11, 19 and 25

If not, it's not a huge deal, and thanks for the other schedules!

Eriq, you are oddly biased numerically.

Well, uh, yeah. At least I don't have a league with an unlucky 13 teams in it.

I can work on them. Might take me a few days before I can have them ready. I won't be home tonight and tomorrow night.

Here is the 7-team, 144-game schedule. It was easy to do because I just removed the last round of the 7-team, 162-game schedule.

Had some down time at work, so I worked up the 25-team, 144-game schedule.

Here is the 9-team, 144-game schedule. That's it for today because I'll be away from a computer the rest of the day. I'll work on the rest of them in the next few days.

Here are the 5-team, 11-team and 19-team, 144-game schedules.

The 19-team schedule features only four-game series because the math had teams playing each other eight times. I tried to put an off-day in after every eight days, so you'll have some weird off-days (days other than Mondays and Thursdays). We can always fix that, if that's a problem.

The 11-team schedule also had some weird off-days because I used the default schedule as a foundation and then I added what was needed from there. Again, I can work on changing that if it's a problem for you.

Hope these work for you. Please let me know if you need changes or if you need anything else. I enjoy working on schedules.

Thanks again, I really appreciate this. Odd off-days aren't really an issue, again, my primary concern was getting all the teams to play the same number of games. Quirky schedules come with the territory of an odd-numbered league, as far as I'm concerned.

Also, any problem with me including these in an updated version of my European Quickstart?

cheo, I just noticed a bit of a showstopper in the 15-team, 162-game schedule - a huge gap that extended 181 days in the middle of the schedule. For a season starting April 1, play would stop after August 6 and resume the following February 4. That, of course, throws everything out of whack.

I have done a bit of massaging of the schedule in Excel, and now at least the season ends at a reasonable point. I've attached a fixed schedule, just in case.

Once I noticed the issue, it was fairly simple to fix, and thanks again for all the schedules!
