After being shutout in their Spring opener, the Toronto bats came out swinging today and they beat the Rangers, 9-2.

Carlos Belen led the way, going 2 for 4 with 4 RBI.

The Jays lost a close one to the Twins, falling 2-1, despite a solid outing by Kyle Lobstein.

Danny Pedroza left the game with some arm pain. He will miss the next week or two.

A 9th inning homer by Jackie Bradley Jr. was the difference maker as the Red Sox beat the Blue Jays, 4-3.

Not only did the Jays lose, 10-3, to the Astros, but Delvin Perez left the game with a shoulder issue. We await word as to its severity.

Travis Wood left the game with a sore shoulder after three innings but the outlook is that he should be good to go for his next Spring start.

Grant Holmes had a solid five innings of shutout ball but was long gone by the time Dave Soto launched a three-run homer in the 14th to give the Jays a 7-5, walk-off win over the Tigers.

Noah Murdock left the game with an injury. It looks like he will miss the start of the season.

But then Yun-Wen Chen did not do so well in the 9th and the Rays beat the Jays, 4-1.

Carlos Martinez left the game with some elbow soreness. That is concerning but he says he will be fine in about a week.
