Given that OOTP makes no allowance for travel time, why not just play game 1, send down a pitcher between games and call up another, swith them back after the game. Serves the same purpose. You are potentially burning an option year on that 27th player either way.

Not a bad idea, but only thing is you are kind of taking advantage of the AI. You could do that, but the AI would not know to do that, so gives you a slight advantage. Also, you would need to send someone down who has an option and you are willing to burn the option on. You may not have someone like that. If in Commish you could place the pitcher that is unavailable on the DL and edit them to be on the DL for 1 day, or even 0 days. You could do the same for the AI, and then take them off of the DL and send the players back down before you end the day. That way the AI would also get the extra player.

Travel time is something I hope OOTP would consider in the future when calling up players to the major league team and sending down players to the minors.

Would allowing an extra man for doubleheaders be possible in leagues where all teams are controlled by human players and therefore the AI doesn't have to worry about trade evaluation, roster logic, ect..?
