How large is your game?
So, with OOTP 20 around the corner...time to delete OOTP 19. Now, last year when I deleted OOTP 18...it had ballooned to 220 GB. OOTP 19 this year? 273 GB! How large is everyone elses games?

You do know OOTP exists in at least 2 different directories? The .exe location (which could be in Steam) and the Documents folder(s)

Yes, I keep the documents part. But I generally have no need for the old version once I get a new one.

i don't do facegens and a lot of that type of stuff.
my 150+ year league is only 2.20 gigabytes. i have a backup.. .so game + ~5gb. i don't keep stuff in documents folder or any windows system directory. causes hassles in some contexts, so i just avoid to start. inevitably there are some ootp-related files in the user directories, of course. pretty sure these are small potatoes. |

Only use 19 for PT; my OOTP 16 has only my Raccoons league, which has 24 teams with three levels of minors in its 53rd season, tunes in just over 4.3 GB for the entire game folder.

it's all about the news articles, history and player pictures -- however they are made.
if you turn it to 'on demand' for the pictures, i bet it knocks a ton of space off. plus, it will have a pic if you look at them -- even if in retirment. so, everyone that matters gets a face at some point. nothing lost, like history or news articles related settings. no way to avoid the bloat due to that stuff, if you want to keep it all. a picture is worth a thousand news stories... maybe.. i don't know the size of the pics, lol.... they are 'heavier'. so, if you generate a pic for every player created at incepction, you could have millions (but, more likely tens-of-thousands) of pictures of players that never even reached the MLB. again, nothing lost if you put it to on-demand. you pull up ricky smits from 2022 A-ball team, whe then retired the next year, and it will generate a picture at that time. Yes, I admit. I make a new "game" and just keep making new games. I don't go back and delete them lol. It's almost a fun thing to see how much the game ballooned when I go to delete an old one for a new one.
