Import Classic Ballpark Settings?
I know when you hit 'Edit Ballpark' you can Manually Import Data for the ballpark in question e.g. Minute Maid Park for the Houston Astros. An awesome timesaver when wanting to do historical leagues with modern ballparks btw
But is there a way to import older, classic ballparks e.g. say you wanted to start in 1890 but use Denver's Mile High Stadium from the 1993-1995 era for the newly created Colorado Rockies instead or the Polo Grounds for the New York Giants without having to keep the League Evolution option enabled? Or is the only option to create random years and just export the data in the generic Ballpark folder for future use in created leagues? |

It's a piece a cake if you have Pstrickert's Updated Historical Ballparks installed. If you haven't already, install Pistrickert's ballparks from Add-On's central (You'll have to add the ootpmods.com server first).
Once that's done, simply go to the Park Profile of whatever park you'd like to change (it can also be a newly created fictional park) and select "Manually import data from file to this park" under "Available actions". Next, navigate to the "Ballparks" folder. You should now see individual subfolders titled by year (1901, 1902, etc.). Select the folder labeled "1993" and click on the mile high stadium.prk file. That should do it (I hope).

I'm sorry. I should've included this link in my post.
To add the OOTPmods.com server to Add-Ons central, Go to File/Add-Ons Central and click "Add a server". When promted to add a URL, add this: http://ootpmods.com/mods/ootpmods17.xml Cheers

Folks: I am totally lost here. I've been playing OOTP17 (purchased through Steam earlier this year) and decided i wanted historical ballpark 3D backgrounds. I downloaded a huge zip file with the dozens of settings/items (per each ballpark's folder), but have no idea how to incorporate them into my game.
My OOTP 17 screen does not have "add-ons central" as part of it. It says "workshop central" where "add on central" appears in the online manual's screen shot. And no way to "add a server". How would I be able to do this so I can make use of the ballparks I downloaded? Thank you Rob |

Unless this has changed, when importing parks (historical or otherwise), you have to manually enter the ball locations as well.

I'm getting an error trying to download the updated ballparks file from OOTP Mods. Is there an alternative location?
