DAY 2 .... Ottawa @ Hamilton
Day 2
I wanted to do the goalies first this time, as this game featured a back-up (resting goalie because games are consecutive days?) and the named Selin in the season preview ... still doing goalies as this was the first game for Hamilton Well, JP Evans sat for Ottawa the Frenchmen Reltien stood at goal Selin, must not have had a good pre-season as he is far from in shape to live up to his potential ... perhaps has drunk too much beer in the offseason and needs to work off his reflex limitations Last edited by NolaSola7; 10-11-2015 at 11:16 AM. |

Game report
DAY 2, SEASON 1
HAMILTON: GAME 1 OTTAWA @ HAMILTON; TUES SEPT 21, 2015 Ottawa had consecutive game days to start the season, and it proved not to be a problem as Hamilton must've really need a few games to find their feet in the early start The game started with the quickest goal of the season thus far, 40 second into the game, the German Kammerichs beat Andrey Selin and the Hamilton defense. Ottawa would get two more in the period, 3-0 But Hamilton was not disuaded and came back with two rather rapid attacks to cut the score to 1, 3-2 Ottawa's Niedermeyer then took on the game in the second period and got not one but a second shortly after answering Hamilton's attempt at a come back Those two from Niedermeyer may have really demoralized Hamilton's hope in its first game on its home ice .. as after the 5-2 lead, the flood gates just got bigger .... Lehovac had scored the second goal only 3 minutes after the first, and he managed two more after Niedermeyer provided separation.. Yes, folks, our season's first HATTRICK All in all, quite a forgetful day in Hamilton for G Selin and the fans. 9-2 ... Last edited by NolaSola7; 10-11-2015 at 11:10 AM. |

Hey all,
I am really enjoying the simulation on these games... so much modification during the game .. fast, slow, etc, etc ... The second part is that this first season is probably the most interesting for me as I made the line-ups ... soon people will get trades, leave as FAs, or retire .... although the league won't change much... the original rosters are big for me ... so the first season is too... ( I am sure all can follow that) So I have been debating... sim forward, or play more??? I think I may have resolved the inner-debate... it will be 2-2-2-2 or even a 2-2-3-2 That is 2 weeks of lots of sim, at least one a day (in-game calendar) ... and then sim two weeks.. Or sim two weeks, play weeks, sim three, play two ... But this would only mean Mon-Sat as a week, because I'll do the Game of the Week every week.... Sounds good for all? |

Day 2, Season 1
Omaha Red Hammers_ Game 1 Cleveland Snow Leopards @ Omaha Red Hammers This game may have showcased the hard efforted American style that exists in the Patriot Division And it may have showcased Omaha's lack of true shooting force, yes thy out shot Cleveland, but never seemed to threaten the Snow Leopards with a goal. But there was a goal, and only one given away for a 1-1 tie. Cleveland had a hard time cracking through and making shooting opportunities against Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska. Only getting 5 shots in the first, and giving away 4 power plays to Omaha. There were many players that had 80+ game rating, so it must have really been good hockey more than a pitiful display Last edited by NolaSola7; 10-11-2015 at 11:43 PM. |

Bison @ Monarques
Day2 (Season 1) Sept 21
Saskatoon @ Quèbec Having played yesterday, both teams had their back-up goalies on the ice. Quèbec has apparently signed a Free Agent with great potential, named Curtis Ross. and he is on the roster instead of original goalie Ben Andrews, Andrews is not to bad, but Ross must have really displayed his potential well in camp. This game started somewhat slow, but it also picked up fast. Quèbec got 2 goals in the first after the 12th minute. The tremendous power play of the Monarques was on display in the second as they got two Power Play goals to really separate themselves Saskatoon had very little to show as far as shots go in the early sets, but picked it up and closed the shot gap and got one for themselves. But perhaps the open style of Saskatoon was not very good for a team like Quèbec who has some of the most accurate shooters in the league, at home and against the back-up goalie, Quèbec had over 40 shots, nearly scoring on the 40th shot, but sinking the 41rst. Sorry Bison supporters! Saskatoon needs to regroup after dropping two, perhaps they have better match-ups against the less lethal shooting teams. NOTE: No question, Quèbec has great special teams! Both kills and playing with the advantage. Should they make the play-offs (high chance I would say) then this would be interesting to see how much their special teams carries them. Milwaukke Trades with Ottawa
There's been a trade, but don't worry... Only a 30 year old minor leaguer for another 32 year old minor leaguer
I will mention these only to show how regular trading is I have done some uniform arrangements.. helmets (both goalie & players) and I added national flags to the sweaters I thought since the league is divided between US and Canada.... the flag would be a part of their uniform ... Can't really see it, but Lake Ontario has the Toronto flag in the uni, and Quèbec has the Quèbec (province) flag Some flags are visible, some are not .. look at some USA teams, like Anchorage and Cleveland .. they have little flags on each side of the collar Missing 4 ... I will adjust Quebec so the fleur-de-lis is more in the middle of the chin guard Last edited by NolaSola7; 10-12-2015 at 05:45 AM. |

I mentioned in the Saskatoon-Québec report that Saskatoon may do well against less lethal shooters... and perhaps maybe those teams with less possession.. I will investigate later when there are more stats to go off of ... see if they have more success against teams that have the least takeaway v. those that are giving it up more...
Also I have a franchise report coming, and I want to invite you all to go to the first post where the excel sheet was used to determine who these teams are Last edited by NolaSola7; 10-13-2015 at 12:58 AM. |

Game Report
Season 1-Gameday 3
Portland @ Saskatoon Portland is possession and defensive oriented, Saskatoon is one of the most high flying, offensively aggressive teams ... But Portland gave the blueprint on how to beat Saskatoon, prevent opportunities. Saskatoon outshot Portland despite 14 giveaways, but so many giveaways limited themselves. Saskatoon scored the first of the night, but Portland played their game and began to find the net late, winning 4-1 Saskatoon starts 0-3-0

Game Report
season 1 - gameday 3
Hamilton @ Laval Hamilton's Andrey Selin is coming off his first game of the season, one where he gave up 9 to Ottawa. Early on he seemed to have found his projected form when he was named as one of the best goalies in the league from the season's preview. His team got a goal ahead, but with exactly one second left on a power play, Laval's Mielecki got it by him. Selin would then give up one even goal, and then Kasyanik was on the receiving end of a very fine pass on another power play which Selin did get a piece of but slid still by him. Not an easy task for Hamilton to come back from a 9-2 loss and go against the very staunch Laval line-up in their home arena. On the other hand, good day for Les Caribous and Laval wins again.
