Is there any way to exchange FA funds for extension funds?

I have a Budget of 140,000,000
Payroll of 82,922,999
But only 18 million for extensions
And a whopping 57 million for free agents.

It's frustrating to be forced to let a former top draft pick go because I can't afford to pay his salary.

IRL, GMs are allowed flexibility on the amount of money used and i feel like ootp should reflect this.

Well, the game calculates the finances for the upcoming seasons when setting your $$ available for extensions. You're most likely having other extension offers pending or a few expensive players coming up for arbitration.

Thanks for the reply, the thing that has me miffed the most is inability to shift Free Agent funds to use for extensions, I forgot whether or not this was in OOTP11 since all my savegames were corrupted from an improper shutdown but it could be an useful feature in later updates.
