It is the number of games needed to secure the division - a combination of your team winning and your division opponents losing. It is the Magic number.

Also if you use the magic number when you pick out your lottery numbers that same evening you will get a +10% bonus to your chances of getting them. If you put some leaves on the floor of your kitchen and say "I love you, Mister Fox" eight times it goes up to 17.5%!
