Talk about a rough outing for Blazinghalo's Dierker...

Sometimes you just see box scores that make you shake your head at the sim. Not sure how Blazinghalo has his sliders set, but I'm guessing he would have had the hook out quicker in real life...

10 straight batters reached base, including 5 extra base hits to start the game.

No reflection on Dierker. This game raised his ERA by a full point, and he was coming off a 3-hit shutout. He's still 9-5 on the season too.

Looks like Dierker took one for the team and saved a lot of bullpen wear and tear (LOL). The starters don't have a pitch count and the hook starter slider is about in the middle. It seems that the AI should have yanked him a lot sooner.

I should consider putting a position player into Dierker's spot in the rotation. They couldn't do any worse.

That should have qualified for some significant achievement points for the worst outing by a starting pitcher who actually completed an inning.

I was the opponent to this recent McCullers outing. The AI didn't even pull him after the second grand slam in the inning. All of the damage was in the second inning. He also had a WP and 2 HBP. 12 runs on 6 hits.

FYI - No PP for two slams in one inning.
