Is there a way?...
to make multiple play by play files and select which one you use int he game? I've always thought this game would be the perfect vehicle because of the customization aspect to make a play by play selection and be able to collect mods of different broadcasting legends or current broadcasters, even if it's just modified a bit to include some small lines just to make every game different. Even an option for the team's play-by-play person, so when you play at wrigley, it's set to harray caray, or tiger stadium(i always still use the stadium) would have ernie harwell's text file used...just a thought, don't know how difficult of an add on this woul dbe, seems like it's be pretty similar to selecting a park

Not in this version, but not a bad option button to add!

you could swap the files outside the game yourself, couldn't you?

swapping out the files is fine, but then you'd need them all to be labeled with the same name, but be different if that makes sense, the game refers to one play by play file, so you coul dhave different ones, but the game is only going to see one "name" for tha file. I'm probably just gonna alter mine to be one announcer, but i still think it'd be a great feature to "assign" announcers to teams just like stadiums, give you a different feel when you play on the road

But, point is, while there isn't such an option within the interface, it's perfectly doable. Modders? |

All I believe you would need to do is to create a subfolder with all of the various pbp files you want to use. The program would prompt you for which one you want to use and copy the appropriate file into the Text folder. Someone made a program similar to this for the names files in OOTP6. What would also be nice is if you could delete the OOTP2006 icon from your desktop and add the icon for the new program. The program will ask you which pbp file to use, then launch OOTP2006 with the pbp that you selected.
