And they do that with little to no padding.
Bunch of wimps in the NFL |

Reducing the padding in the NFL might be a solution to some of their issues. |

What I mean isn't that it's not a big hit, but that it's more efficient than NFL hits. Around the 3 second mark you can see the hitter lines up his hit and drives into the player opposed to launching himself. As a result the hits is far safer for both players.

It was a solid hit and anybody that hit like that consistently wouldn't have a hard time finding full time employment in the NFL. Last edited by Bluenoser; 07-01-2015 at 09:11 AM. |

Came expecting that JJ Watt hit, on stage, at a Florida Georgia Line concert...
Pleasantly surprised with an actual hit. |

Couple of shoulder charges in this lot (the shoulder charge is now banned), but overall a pretty good collection of rugby league hits

This isn't a hit, but it's one of the most incredible things i've seen on a footy field:

Should I turn this into the unofficial 2015 NRL thread? I have not had as much interest in it as usual this season, but seeing as we are now in the post-Origin run to the finals maybe I should post about it...

Here are the NRL standings at the completion of week eighteen. Note that every team has had two byes.
1ST BRISBANE BRONCOS 13-3 2ND NORTH QUEENSLAND COWBOYS 12-4 3RD SYDNEY ROOSTERS 10-6 4TH NEW ZEALAND WARRIORS 9-7 5TH SOUTH SYDNEY RABBITOHS 9-7 6TH MELBOURNE STORM 8-8 7TH ST GEORGE-ILLAWARRA DRAGONS 8-8 8TH CANTERBURY-BANKSTOWN BULLDOGS 8-8 9th Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks 8-8 10th Canberra Raiders 7-9 11th Penrith Panthers 7-9 12th Parramatta Eels 7-9 13th Manly-Warringa Sea Eagles 6-10 14th Gold Coast Titans 6-10 15th Wests Tigers 5-11 16th Newcastle Knights 5-11 It's been a pretty even season so far, evidenced by the fact that there's two wins currently separating 4th place from 12th place. The reality is that there's a lot of teams that are merely good, with only the Broncos and Cowboys (both Queensland teams) being able to say they are true contenders. And that was after the Cowboys started the season with three losses, and then went on an eleven-game winning streak (which included seven wins with a victory margin of seven points or less). |

The Cowboys were uncanny during that streak. Most of those seven wins were come from behind affairs within the last ten minutes, and a few in the last minute!
For that reason i think they're actually higher up than they should be, and they'll lose a few on the home stretch but should still finish top 4 by virtue of that streak. It'll take some team to beat Brisbane this year, i think.

Sea Eagles are on a late charge. It would be amazing if they could do it for Toovey. Meanwhile, it was nice to see my Tigers get a win over the Storm on Friday night at Leichhardt. Also, ANOTHER comeback win for the Cowboys against the Raiders, and an amazing Bulldogs-Roosters game on Friday.
