Guillorme hitting the homer off Rodney was a sign from above. It is meant to be!

I mean… *Guillorme*… the most-nothing player in the league…

Then again, Rodney is a contemporary of Phil Regan...

And how did we get Panik for nothing? An actual ballplayer!

Giants gave up on Panik, has not hit much since 2017 when he had a serious concussion. But the glove is still good and maybe he gets energized by a new setting.....

...and then I learned that the Mets axed Adeiny Hechevarria one day before he'd have been due a $1m bonus for being on the roster for 100 days.

The article won't come up without an account, but there's one guy that I would have loved to see brought back instead of the endless parade of other teams' has-beens: Ruben Tejada. Apparently he's hitting like .320 in AAA and is not *old* in a conventional sense. I always liked Ruben, and when Chase "Dip****" Ugly sheared off his leg in Game Two, it was like he'd broken my bones, too!

Yes. I will never stop hating Chase Ugly.

We - want - Ruben! We - want - Ruben!

Picture.didnt take.but.you get.the gist:

Now Playing for the Syracuse Mets: Yesterday’s Stars, Not Tomorrow’s
With a thin pipeline of prospects, the Mets have built the oldest Class AAA team in baseball.

ImageFrom left to right: Tim Tebow, 31; Carlos Gomez, 33; and Gregor Blanco, 35, patrolling the outfield for the Syracuse Mets in April.

Journeymen such as Rajai Davis, 38, Rene Rivera, 36, and Gregor Blanco, 35, came to upstate New York in search of one more shot at the big leagues. In return, Syracuse has seen a rise in fan interest .....

McNeil goes on the 10 days IL in a critical series against the Braves.

Looks like playing a division leader, combined with the timing of McNeil going on the IL, has brought the Mets back to earth.

When do we get the next explitive-filled Westheim tirade? I like those.

The obvious Lugo meltdown doesn't merit a tirade. There's got to be one for the exact same reasons on the previous page or so. Lugo had nothing and Callaway is a braindead piece of ****. Same old, same old.

More frustrating I found the Conforto Sombrero. He must have missed 500 pitches on a bottom edge this year. Between him and Callaway, that's two blind mice. Who else? Ah. My usual favorite. A Met Evoking Disappointment.

But overall I am too merry for the rebirth of Ruben Tejada (strong 0-for-4!) right now …!

PEEEEETE takes Jacob Barnes' soul with a monster homer, #40 this season, and a new NL Rookie Record!

Move over Kong and Bobby Bo.
Pete is already the best right handed power hitter in Mets history.

I hope I don't end up feeling foolish for asking this but what's with the Mets' white on white uniforms? The look like ghosts!

Name: Image0026.jpg
Views: 206
Size: 93.9 KB

Wait a minute . . . I just saw a preview of the Yankees-Dodgers game and the Yankees are in all white while the Dodgers are in black. What's going on? (I knew I was going to feel foolish. )

Oh for goodness sake. What silliness: http://news.sportslogos.net/2019/08/...-this-weekend/ So, who chose the monochrome format this year? How does it dovetail with this: "Inspired by players’ style choices when they are away from the field, the fashionable monochromatic uniforms allow for each custom accessory design to stand out more than ever before”, the league said in the press release upon their unveiling earlier this month. When players are away from the field, they like to wear white or black?

The only individuality that I can see are the wildly colorful shoes and the odd nicknames on the backs of jerseys - I was just watching "Big Maple" pitch to "Redturn2." Now here's Gio Urshela at the plate, and he has his bat painted in the colors of the Colombian flag. Is that even legal? It sure looks like a distraction for the pitcher to me. MLB is becoming a clown show.

The utter stupidity of the Players Weekend scam, getting more stupid annually since 2017.

If something looks like ass, smells like ass, it must be ass.

At least there is now an outside chance that this is the last time this colossal bull**** has soiled the game.

Unrelated, Mets pitchers struck out 26, led by deGrom, but, since they were led by deGrom, couldn't score a lick and lost in 14. Nothing about this surprises me.

You forgot to mention that deGrom, along with accounting for 13 of those K's, also hit a HR to provide the only scoring the Mets would do on the day. So ridiculous.

I also think the white unis are horrific, in particular the white batting helmets.

I commented to a friend last night that the whole "Player's Weekend" thing was a total farce. Besides, if you're gonna put a team in black, put the Mets in black. I miss those black unis.
