'exclusive' league seeks 2-3 quality owners

CPL started as an experiment to create a complete alternate baseball reality. I used ankit to start a historical sim with comp controlled teams in 1903. In 1940, CPL instituted an ammy draft, followed by free agency in 1960, and a 70 million dollar salary cap in 1980. Starting 1990, the players were fictional only, and in 2003, real humans took control of the teams. We're now done with our 3rd season of real owners, and will head into the offseason starting Monday Dec. 19.

CPL is designed to maximize competition by making it easier to build a contender, and harder to build a dynasty. All teams make 70 million, with no cash accumulation. There is a 70 million dollar salary cap. And you can only resign players who actually ask to be extended. As a result, we have much fewer trades, a vibrant FA, and few teams able to sustain winning longer than about 3 seasons.

I run a very tight ship in this league. We sim every weekday, but just 5 days. It's OK to lay low and not export every sim- life is busy. But I demand every owner be knowledgable, and that they are involved in the important things- trade negs, votes, etc. You'll find that no trade involves someone ripping someone else off in any obvious way--- the guys who're in this league already are good. It's tough to win. The way it should be.

I'm looking for owners for the Cleveland Indians, Philadelphia Phillies (they're in the world series!), and Detroit Tigers (the only 3 time playoff team in CPL). I'll simply take the team no one else wants

I need: Your name, email, AIM, and team preference. In addition, I want to AIM or email with someone who can vouch for your competence and reliability- pref. the commish of a league you're in already. Contact by email sh.misra@gmail.com or AIM d0ugmelvin (that's a zero after the d).

Still looking for two guys...

If you're even thinking about it, hit me up on AIM, and let's talk.
