Best Settings for Dynasty?
Hi everyone,
I am fairly new to OOTP, having bought it over Christmas 2004 and now just reinstalling it on my new computer. I was hoping that some of the more experienced OOTPers could help me out. I'm looking for a realistic MLB sim where the CPU puts up a fair fight. Last time I managed the Red Sox, I had about $20 million in cash which I could simply use to buy players from other teams without giving any of my players up, which seemed really unrealistic. My question is, what settings are optimal for a fun but challenging OOTP experience? From some of the posts that I've viewed thus far, I have gathered that some default settings, such as having scouts/coaches on, can give a human player an unfair advantage. Does anybody else have any advice like this? (Although I am looking for realism, I am use to dynasty modes such as MVP Baseball's, so if some financial settings can be turned down to decrease the advantage that I have as a human player, that's fine for me) Thanks in advance everyone!

Welcome to the forums!
There are some good tips in this thread. Here's a good thread concerning solo league financials.
