1905 Always a great thing to see that the White Sox have a better record then the Cubs. Let's hope for a RL 1906.

What sucks is, had I been the Pirates GM, there would be a totally different turn out. I am having a good time running this, it is fun to see what happens. The EL series, could happen but I really dont see my Cubs winning 116 games. It will be fun to see what happens tomorrow, probably late day, got some outside things to do.

Thanks for following along.

Spring Training News

- Browns lose LHP Ed Siever for 8 months when he suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow while throwing a pitch.

- Cubs LHP Jake Weimer, already out for nearly 8 months, suffered a set back in his recovery from a torn labrum and will need an additional 6 months of injury time.

- Naps lose 2B Erve Beck for 3 weeks due to a hamstring strain suffered while making a play against the Athletics.

- Giants lose 3B Sammy Strang for 4 weeks due to suffering a sprained knee in a recent game against the Cardinals.

Cubs ownership has decided that we should play better than .500 ball. Wonder if that was what the gm/manager was told prior to the RL season when the cubs won 106 games and made their first WS appearance to face crosstown rivals the White Sox in what, if we can repeat it, could be our second 'subway' Series. Gonna be a trip to try to duplicate the RL results but my Cubbies havent let me down yet.

What a wild ride the first half has been. The standings are tight and except for a few days at the beginning of the year and of course the 1/2 back spot now, the Cubs have been leading the NL. We are on a good roll so far.

TECH DIFF - no idea why the standing is showing up twice, tried to edit it but it didnt work, sooo. its there twice.

What a season so far. The only thing is, unless we really go on a hot tear the second half, the 106 wins doesnt look too obtainable. But we will see.

Gonna take a break and get some rest, had a very sleepless night and need to catch up before off to see grandson this afternoon. Get second half stuff up soon and will get 1907 done later tonight.

Enjoy

** Not exactly sure what is going on in Pittsburgh, but they pretty much went on what appears to be a salary dump spree during July. Lots of good players sent packing for minor league players. Cubs even took advantage for some bull pen help down the road, you can never have too many pitchers.

September and the end of the 1906 season coming up later this evening, have to run out of town for a bit.

Enjoy

So not happy. Saved the game and came back to start the rest of the season and the changes I had made to the logos/unis were not all kept, grrrrrr. At least the teams that did not have logos and correct uniforms do now. Oh well, it will all work out in the end, lol.

Final month is looking like it could be a great month. Cubs go into Sept. with a three game lead over the Reds. This could be a great way to finish the season.
