New Updated Database Dropping Next week.

Hey guys, I'm a long time fight fan and former fighter myself. I've been playing TB since the mid 2000's and I'm so tired of no updates to the sim that I've decided to rework the database myself.

I'm starting from the top and working my way down. Heavyweight division will be first. I am including 100 of today's heavyweight's with up to date ratings, pictures, and records. I've already begun on the HW division and have made some nice progress. I think players new and old will really enjoy what I'm creating.

I'm trying to do this right by researching everything, watching fights and stats to create new ratings.

I expect the first release to happen early next week.

Any suggestions or requests are welcome.

Bryan

Last one for now.

Still a long way to go. But we'll get there.

I'm really looking forward to your ratings at 154 - it's my favorite division in boxing now & read today Sergio Garcia & Sebastian Fundora could fight on the Canelo/Plant card.

Along with Jermell, Castano & Tzsyu, just a lot of good fights @ JMW now.

I certainly agree with you. I was thinking of bouncing around a little after I'm done with the big guys. I was thinking 147. Perhaps I'll take down the 154 fella's first. Would definitely be more fun and interesting than doing the cruisers next.

I appreciate that! And 154 might soon get even more talent if/when Spence moves up, they say he's a big welter & Crawford was also considering a move to 154 because he had trouble landing any of the bigger names @ 147.

Now finally I just saw he'll fight Porter in late November.

I thought proficiency of 10 was recommended for all professional fighters

What the hell does proficiency do anyways? I understand conditioning, but proficiency always puzzled me. Any feedback would help out and I can adjust accordingly.

Edit: After looking through the database I have concluded that proficiency should be set to 10. Adjusting now.

I think Spence should hang out at 47 while he can. Crawford should and will IMO move to 54 sooner rather than later.

I don't think it actually does anything. Best I can tell it's some kind of signifier of how the fighter is regarded by promoters.

I agree, I have some fighters with an 8 & they do just fine.

Yes I agree, I read Errol's a big WW so that helps him at 147 but if he moves to 154 he won't enjoy the size advantage he does now.

Proficiency refers to the optimum number of rounds a boxer remains proficient . In other words he is able to maintain his level of expertise or skills. By Prime stage most boxers are rated 10 but may decline with lesser fighters. Not related to stamina . I can see a link to intelligence (another discussion). The rating is max 10 but will auto adjust to relate to a longer bout. 12 /15 rounds.

Have you seen the manual? Lots of info. Appendix A is especially helpful.http://www.titleboutboxing.com/TB2%20Manual.pdf
