double (or more)-byes in customized playoffs possible?

was considering having widely expanded playoffs in a custom league but letting the team with the best record in each league get advanced to the equivalent of the LCS, Ive found I can do this with a 3, 5 or 9 team playoff, and I presume it can with 17 or 33. can it be done with other amounts of teams? I suspect based on what I see it isnt, but I'd like to be certain. Thanks, and sorry if this was addressed before.

Unfortunately, unless you go to an odd number of teams, there are no byes. Eugene Church was trying and could not do it, even with a variety of proposed ideas.

So you'd have to do the 9/17/33, as you proposed, to get the byes.

Thanks for the reply

I thought so, but hoped maybe someone here had found a work around. Guess its not possible with the game setup.
