Help Me Create Names?

I'm looking to start up a Fictional Franchise but I can't come up with any names, and I'm not a huge fan of the generated names...I'll list the cities/states, and if you guys can help me come up with something that would be great. I want the names to kind of fit the cities... for example I don't want like the Houston Eskimos...

Cities/states:

Boston
New York
Philly
Baltimore
Miami
LA
San Fran
Kansas City
Minnesota
Cincinnati
Atlanta
Houston
New Orleans
Oklahoma City
Milwaukee
Detroit
Chicago
Seattle
Arizona
St. Louis

Have you checked out The Nickname Project? You can find it on the OOTP Mods website and not only does it have hundreds of names for all kinds of ballclubs, but it has logos, caps, and uniforms too. It's a good resource to skim through if you want creative names and the graphics to go with them.

Just to give you options

Boston Beets
(1919 Molasses Disaster)

New York Navigators
(One of the world's largest natural harbors)

Philadelphia Founders
(One-time American capitol and home to inventor Ben Franklin)

Baltimore Blue Crabs
(A local industry and food)

Miami Haven
(A destination for retirees, refugees, and business)

Los Angeles Show
(The world's entertainment hub)

San Francisco Sourdough
(They gained an appetite for it during the gold rush)

Kansas City Steam
(Right along the Mississippi River, in a region famous for steamboats)

Minnesota Mosquitoes
(The Minnesota state bird is the loon, but if you ask residents they may answer the mosquito instead. Having 10,000 lakes has it's downside.)

Cincinnati Slaughter
(Was once the country's meat packing hub)

Atlanta Network
(For being a host for communications and travel)

Houston Augers
(Nobody has dug more holes in the ground and ocean floor)

New Orleans Crawfish
(Called Crayfish and Crawdads in other regions, Crawfish is a Louisiana treat)

Oklahoma City Bison
(The American Bison is the state's official animal)

Milwaukee Bubblers
(In Milwaukee, and very few other places, a drinking fountain is referred to as a bubbler)

Detroit Machine
(Slang for car, also historical dependence on manufacturing)

Chicago Cyclones
(Tip of the cap to the windy city)

Seattle Buzz
(Referring to technology and the coffee culture)

Arizona Sky
(Beautiful clear skies, and aerospace contracts)

St. Louis Sycophants
(Sorry, I have a hard time saying anything nice about St. Louis)

I think you meant the Missouri River since Kansas City is nowhere near the Mississippi.

I use baseball reference, click minors and look at names that past cities have had for minor league teams as a way to job my memory for names. Also the dynasty forums and graphics forums here have lots of names that I've used for my own leagues too.
