Not able to offer extensions
Hello all. I'm new to the game. I created a historical league an currnetly I am the GM. I want to offer contract extensions before some of my players are FA's but when I rt click, the offer extension option is not there.
Also, when I click possible free agents not one player is listed. What am I missing? Just noticed whenI go to Transactions History I see the same player signed a contract extension like 20x the same day. Must be a bug. Should I re-install game? Last edited by cat88; 01-08-2013 at 09:00 AM. |

If you're using the reserve clause era rules, players are simply automatically re-signed from year-to-year with the exception of some star players, who may occasionally have multi-year contracts. But, even so, free agency is turned off when using the reserve clause rules.
What years are you simulating? And, as Bluenoser asked, are finances turned on at all? As far as the potential bug is concerned, that sounds very strange. If you see it happening again, you can always submit your saved game files via FTP for OOTP Developments to examine. That can help identify bugs and even get your saved game fixed if needed. |

Yes FA and Finances were enabled but I was using rererve clause era rules, which defauleted to that I guess since the starting year in this career historical leage is 1921.
Thanks guys. As far as the resigning the same player I'll see if it keeps doing that now that I am not using reserve clause rules |

If I tuned on scouting in mid season will I be able to hire/fire new scouting directors?
