OOTP 15 Crashes
I have reached my 2020 season and now when I simulate to the preseason, it works. But once the sim stops and I try to go back to my manager's office, the game stops working and shuts down.
Not sure what is causing this nor has it happened in the past. Any suggestions? |

The only time my game has crashed is when I try to play a game where there is no starting pitcher selected.

Sounds like something's corrupted, but I'm not sure what it would be. My best advice is to open a support ticket and see if they can't find the problem for you. |

Even though it may seem unrelated make sure all drivers and especially video drivers are up to date. Windows does't always do this right for my Nvidia card so I use a utility from Nvidia. In my experience this is a common source of crashes. YMMV
Check that your HDD is not excessively fragmented. Defrag if necessary. Next, back up the entire league file in game then restore it with a different league name. I don't claim it will fix things but it has worked for me in the past on two different leagues. Again I could be dreaming all this but my impression is that restoring the league causes all the files to be contiguous on the HDD.

Disc cleanup and defrag....I haven't had a crash since performing these operations.
If this doesn't 'do it', make sure your computer isn't in an energy saving mode when playing and see if that makes a difference but try the cleanup and defrag first. |
