Earned Run Error
I just had an Earned Run Error.
1 out, man on first. He tries to steal second and my catcher throws it away. Stolen base for the runner, error on the catch, runner now on third.
Next batter hits a fly ball to CF and the runner tags and scores. Two out and the run is CURRENTLY unearned, as it should be. That could still change.
The next batter walks.
The batter after him walks... and the run is changed to earned.
Uh, no. It still isn't earned. In fact, the pitcher got the next batter out so it never should have been earned.
