What happens to cash?

If I don't use the cash budgeted for free agents / extensions, does that cash disappear after the next season or can you horde cash over a few seasons? Not sure why you would want to do that, but just wondering.

It depends in part on your setting for cash maximum. Always consult the manual first if you have questions because it's the best source for comprehensive and accurate information. If you use a keyword like "cash", you'll find all of the information related to how cash is used and works in the game.

As to why you would save it, I think the major reason in the game now is for throwing into trades to offset current year salary if you are trading a player away.
