After a few months of experimenting, I think I have found the best possible all Bronze team.
Since the beta I have had a second team called the Bronze Brigadiers. The experiment is simple, try to compete with only bronze players. I'm just trying to find what bronze cards are worth anything. Last season was the first time I actually made the playoffs since the beta, and I've been pretty happy with my current roster so I thought I would share.
Catchers: Austin Hedges (meh bat, great glove) Darrell Porter (backup, good bat, ok glove) 1b: Ryan Zimmerman (vL)/ Kyle Schwarber (vR) 2b: DJ LaMahieu (great glove, decent bat) ss: Mark Belanger (elite glove) 3b: Don Money (good pop) lf: Topsy Hartsel (vR, elite eye, good speed, perfect leadoff hitter) Matty Alou (vL) cf: Kevin Kiermaier (elite glove, ok all around) rf: Matty Alou (vR, better Ichiro) Brian Jordan (vL) DH: Matt Stairs (Schwarber's dad) Utility: Joey Wendle SP: Allan Anderson, Alec Mills, Daniel Mengden, CC Sabathia, Michael Fulmer Bullpen: Dominic Leone, Chaz Roe, Bill Campbell, Jordan Hicks, Shawn Armstrong, Aaron Loup, Taylor Williams The rotation still is the one spot I don't think it quite locked down. Line up substitutions could be Paul Waner or Ichiro for Brian Jordan but then you are very left handed heavy. Eric Thames could have a spot too |

I'd think Wockenfuss would find a spot on that roster, as someone who would be a solid backup C and could also fill in a corner OF spot against lefties in a pinch.

I like Otis Nixon as leadoff. Decent OBP and can steal a lot of bases.

On all of my teams Matty Alou has not been a better Ichiro.

Neat idea.
You may want to look in on the following who all have done well for me. L Aparicio (Super Good Glove) Clyde Milan (A speedster who will steal alot of bases and can play the field, too) Gil Hodges (A very good bat) 20+ HR 60+ RBI's. |

I actually cut Gil Hodges for the platoon I have. He was just really inconsistent for me.

Maybe worth trying him out again (buying a different card of his) as it appears that you originally caught the "bad version" of him.
Maybe you'll luck out a get a good one this time around. |

Couple other guys for you to try if you want:
Willie Wilson - LF: Lower league legend - high contact/.avg, A+ speed and SBs, solid defense Kevin Pillar - OF: another outfield option, elite defense across with board with decent speed. Solid backup, maybe even better than Kiermaeir outright as a starter. Charlie Robertson - SP: Havent used him recently, but got great mileage out of him, lot of innings/stamina, gets streaky David Cone - SP: There is a bronze and a silver, ive had the bronze win ERA titles and such Pat Neshek - RP/CL: Solid bronze reliever, had him do ok in a pack only team all the way up to diamond even. |

I had Bob Turley win the pitching triple crown for me in Bronze. He always leads the league in Ks in bronze.

Paul Waner is the only bronze player I have left (only starts against RHP though) and has a 110 OPS+ over my four seasons at Diamond level. Not stellar, but good enough for the sixth highest OPS+ in my team at Diamond beating most of my Silvers and some of the Golds.
Looking to upgrade my outfield so he's probably not long for this world though. Bo Diaz was a catcher I ran with for a while too. Mediocre bat but great glove.

Don Money is money. Try Harvey Haddix (I think he's a 68 SP) he threw a perfect game in beta. Also, Matt Grace as a lefty reliever is solid. 67 I think.

I actually just swapped out Kevin Kiermaier when I lucked out any pulled Andruw Jones. Jody Davis also makes a decent option against lefties in a catcher platoon. |

Late Edit: Davis also has better defensive ratings than Bo Diaz. He has a better arm than Hedges but isn't as good overall due to lower ability ratings. Last edited by Dogberry99; 01-24-2019 at 10:43 PM. |

No SP Ross Stripling? His ratings are something like 75/50/75.
