I was definitely NOT rooting against him, but it does make you think "that was quick." Just shows how demanding this game is on a body.

Throwing overhand with the force required at a any level of baseball is not a natural body motion and is naturally destructive on the arm. I hate to see injuries just as much as anyone but I am not surprised by how often they happen to pitchers.

I think I have recommended this in another thread but there is a book called The Arm by Jeff Passan that does a good job of sifting through all the theories about why pitchers have so many injuries now. Conclusion is the main culprit is throwing too hard year round for too long starting at too young of an age by the time you get to the majors elbow shreds.

It's crazy how much money he left on the table by coming over to the US before he was old enough to get a free agent deal. I really hope he makes a full recovery
