What team will you start with and why!?!?!?

Always fun to see who everyone will start out playing with and why.

I myself will start out with my trusty Mariners. Hopefully with the new additions to the team will be able to contend in the AL West. Also look forward to building up their depleted Minor Leagues.

Giants, because they're my team.

First thing I'm going to do: put Pagan on the trade block because I want to have a Blanco, Span, Pence, Parker, Williamson outfield
Second thing: Move Tomlinson to left field
Third thing: Try to extend Belt
Fourth thing: Move prospect Arroyo to second base

Thanks to the new historical minor leagues:

The 1984 Philadelphia Phillies.

From 1976-83 the Phillies dominated the NL East, making the playoffs 6 times in 8 years. But by 84 the team's core was old, the farm system was dry, and the team basically stunk for the next 20 years. I want to re-do that.

Yep, that what I'm thinking I want to do with the Mets. Take over in 1977 or 1991 or something like that.

Probably the 1920 Cleveland Indians.

Why? The new historical minor leaguers feature. And Tris Speaker.

What you guys will notice once you get the game that your International complexes are going to all be filled with a ton of Latin prospects as team signed an unusually high number of players this year... And for some reason since Jan 1st, another 75 or so have been signed by teams, its almost like its a daily occurrence

Going with the Cubs. See what I can do with back end of the bullpen and starting rotation.

I am going to start off with the 2016 Detroit Tigers as GM/Manager - just to see how well they end up doing (they are my hometown team). After a few seasons of that I plan to import my current "main" game from OOTP16, a Tigers GM only game (I started with the 2015 Team, it is getting into the 2040's now, and I want to keep going with it with all the new features).

Astros fan here

... so I play with the Astros. I spend of a lot of time playing historically though and usually go with the New York Giants. Love the early Giants and John McGraw. However, sometimes to have a small market historical challenge I play with Pittsburgh.

The Padres. I want to see when they will stop their five-year rebuilding cycle and start winning some ballgames.

The Reds. Will be a real challenge to not lose 100 games.

Yeah, the other good thing about starting in 1984 is that I'm gonna enjoy beating those late-80s Mets....
